How do I use my iPhone as a mobile hotspot?

You can turn your phone into a wifi ® hotspot, allowing your wifi enabled devices to connect to the internet using your mobile data connection. To enable this feature from the main screen, follow these steps:

  1. Tap the "Settings" icon.
  2. Tap "Cellular."
  3. Tap "Personal Hotspot."
  4. Tap the slider next to "Allow Others to Join" to turn it on. Your personal hotspot is now enabled.
  5. From the device you want to connect to your mobile hotspot, select your iPhone from the list of available wifi networks. Your iPhone screen will display the network name (SSID) beneath "OTHER NETWORKS."
  6. Enter the default wifi password displayed on your iPhone screen and tap "Join."

To change your wifi password, follow these steps:

  1. Tap the " wifi Password" field.
  2. Tap the "X" icon to delete the current password.
  3. Enter a new password containing at least 8 characters.
  4. Tap "Done." Your new wifi network password will be saved.
    • Note: Changing the password will disconnect any users currently connected to your personal hotspot.
